Cumbria Futures Forum has ceased to operate. Of late it has been difficult to sustain the functioning of the Forum. For one reason or another attendance has dropped off and there seems to have been a diminishing level of interest in continuing with the process. Unfortunately I think that we now reached the end of the road, as far as the project is concerned, and there seems little point in continuing.

 Overtime there can be no doubt that we have done some valuable work which has been useful on a number of levels. I believe that we all have got something out of the process and it has been helpful in focusing thoughts around specific areas and subjects. It has certainly helped to challenge our thinking and hopefully raised our consciousness regarding our responsibilities toward the future.

The future will be what we make it.
